Who regulates MLO licensing in Florida?
Florida mortgage loan originators are licensed through the NMLS and regulated by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (OFR). You complete 20 hours of NMLS-approved pre-license education, then pass the SAFE exam.
How long until I'm fully licensed?
The coursework takes 14 days. Including the SAFE exam and state review, most people are licensed in 2–4 months.
What's the credit banking fee?
When you finish, your completed course hours must be reported ("banked") to the NMLS. A small credit banking fee for that is added at checkout and shown clearly before you pay.
